Social media guidelines…a must

Over the past few weeks, we have been working with clients on establishing social media guidelines within their organizations—making this week’s Jaffe post and video quite timely.

There is a fine line between giving employees the autonomy to champion your brand and allowing them access into a space where they control your brand’s messaging.

It’s a risk, no doubt, but we think it is a risk worth taking, as long as you have a strategy and serious set of guidelines backing the effort.

And, to Jaffe’s point, a proactive approach to mishaps like this Vodafone example are what keep the social media space honest and transparent.
